Congratulations to Chris Ronald who has been nomated for the Canadian Folk Music Award for Songwriter of the Year with respect to his album "Timeline" produced by John Ellis. Chris has also been selected to showcase at the Folk Alliance International conference in Kansas City.
John wins BCCMA Award for Steel Guitar
John Ellis has won the award for Special Instrument - Steel Guitar. John is well known for his signature work on pedal steel and his playing can be heard on countless recordings in the Canadian Country genre. John was also nominated for Producer of the Year.
Two BCCMA Nominations
John Ellis has been nominated for two BC Country Music Awards: Producer of the Year and Special Instrument - Steel Guitar. Karen Lee Batten, whose recent album was produced by Ellis, has also received 7 BCCMA nominations including Best Album and Best Single.
